Credit cards earn points/rewards, insurance on your trip or car, and provide services to protect you while you travel. Compare credit card offers and make sure there are no fees when you travel overseas. Collect miles, but don't count on them at first. Staying loyal has its perks, but it doesn't hurt to grab a great deal. In fact, many times the cheaper the airline, the better the service! Rent-a-cars may offer lower rates if you drive to other states or take a comfortable ride on the bus for dirt cheap.
